Job Description
Tutor Me Education is reshaping how students learn, and we're looking for experienced for experienced Coding & Computer Science Instructors to provide 1:1 and small group virtual instruction to students across the country. If you're passionate about supporting students — and you want the flexibility to build a schedule around your life — we'd love to hear from you.
What you'll do:
- Deliver engaging, individualized virtual instruction tailored to each student's coding experience, logic building skills, and unique learning profile.
- Create structured lesson plans that align with student goals, whether they are a young beginner learning foundational logic, a high schooler preparing for AP Comp Sci (A/Principles), or an advanced student building custom software projects.
- Adapt instruction in real time, using live code-sharing and interactive pair-programming environments to troubleshoot logic errors, explain syntax, and teach architectural concepts.
- Track student project progress and communicate effectively with families or school partners regarding conceptual mastery, coding milestones, and portfolio development.
Languages & Frameworks We Look For (Varies by assignment):
- Python, Java, JavaScript, C++, HTML/CSS, Scratch, or SQL.
- Topics including data structures, object-oriented programming (OOP), web development, and algorithmic logic.

- Bachelor's degree required
- Experience working with students who have education needs
- Ability to design and deliver lesson plans aligned to student goals and accommodations
- Strong virtual instruction skills — comfort with video conferencing, digital whiteboards, and keeping students engaged online
- Ability to pass a background check
- Reliable computer, internet, webcam, and quiet workspace
Preferred (not required):
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus
