Job Description
We are looking for a Cloud Architect with a strategic mindset to lead the definition and evolution of enterprise-level cloud architectures. This role is key to ensuring systems are robust, modular, and ready for the adoption of artificial intelligence solutions. The position is fully remote.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and maintain enterprise cloud architecture across Azure environments, establishing standards for networking, security, IAM, and resource organisation.
- Evaluate and guide platform strategy across Azure, Snowflake, Databricks, and related tooling.
- Establish architectural principles for AI-enabled applications, ensuring systems are API-driven, modular, and scalable.
- Identify architectural constraints that limit autonomous/agent workflows and create reference patterns for AI-to-production transitions.
- Guide the evolution of CI/CD pipelines, including potential GitHub Enterprise migration, ensuring deployment patterns are scalable, secure, and repeatable.
- Define application architecture standards (front-end, APIs, services) and implement lightweight governance for AI-generated code before production.
- Quantify and manage technical debt across systems, reducing key-person dependencies in infrastructure design.
- 4+ years of experience in cloud solutions architecture, with at least 3 years in architecture design or definition roles (not solely implementation).
- Advanced proficiency in Azure: networking, IAM, security, resource organisation, and core services.
- Experience with cloud data platforms: Snowflake and/or Databricks.
- Knowledge of CI/CD strategies and tooling (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitHub Enterprise).
- Experience designing API-driven systems and architectures orientated toward AI or autonomous agent integration.
- Familiarity with IaC and automation tools: Terraform, Bicep, Azure ARM, or equivalent.
- Understanding of containerisation and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes.
- Experience in technical governance: managing technical debt, defining standards, and creating reference patterns.
- Upper-intermediate to advanced English (technical reading and team communication).
