Job Description
The Role
Addepar is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quality Assurance Engineer (Analyst) to primarily help with the design, development, and execution of test plans and test cases. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering high-quality software. You'll work closely with internal process SME’s and Technical Leads to identify and resolve issues, ensuring solutions deployed to internal business teams are reliable and meet user expectations.
This role requires a proactive individual who can collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the platform meets business needs and supports organizational growth. During major initiatives this person will participate in all phases of the project lifecycle, including discovery ensuring the business process is known so context can be applied to testing during all applicable phases of an initiative.
Addepar takes a market-based approach to pay. A successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on the role, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.
The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base salary for roles in Canada. The current range for this role is CAD 86,000 - 130,000 (base salary) + bonus + equity + benefits.

What You'll Do
- Execute test cases and analyze results.
- Identify, report, and track bugs using a bug-tracking system (e.g., Jira).
- Create and maintain detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases to support standard releases as well as one time initiatives.
- Perform regression, functional, and performance testing to ensure a smooth user experience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers/admins, product managers, process subject matter experts) to understand product requirements and design.
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Stay current with changing industry standards and test strategies.
Who You Are
- 3-5 years of proven experience as a Software QA Tester or similar role
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and software development lifecycle.
- Experience with testing tools.
- Strong understanding of testing methodologies (e.g., black-box, white-box testing).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to Quality
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to present complex solutions to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Certifications in the following subject matter areas are considered an asset:
- Salesforce CPQ
- Salesforce ServiceCloud
- Salesforce ExperienceCloud
- Salesforce Admin/ Advanced Admin
- SAFe Certification, PMI-ACP or equivalent Agile based Certification to support our Project and Program approach
- Exposure to any of the following technologies is also desirable
- Certinia (FinancialForce)
- Gearset
- Ironclad CLM
- Docusign
- NetSuite
- Databricks (including AI Agents)
- ETL tools such as boomi, Informatica, Mulesoft etc.
