Job Description
Azumo is looking for a Business Analyst to lead software development initiatives and personalized development projects.
You will collaborate cross-functionally with business and technical teams to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality solutions.
This is a hands-on, results-oriented role for someone who excels at translating complex business needs into actionable requirements, and who embraces AI tools as a force multiplier in their daily work
The position is FULLY REMOTE based in Latin America.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business and engineering teams to elicit, document, and validate business requirements using structured techniques such as interviews, workshops, and process mapping.
- Translate business requirements into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows that development teams can implement without ambiguity.
- Lead discovery sessions and contribute to product definition, generating artifacts, wireframes, data dictionaries, gap analyses, that inform current and future project phases.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies (Scrum, Kanban) and ensure user stories meet the Definition of Ready before development begins.
- Manage and prioritize the project backlog in JIRA/Notion in partnership with the Product Owner, ensuring tasks are clearly defined, estimated, and sequenced to meet sprint and release goals.
- Collaborate on the validation of delivered solutions against acceptance criteria, supporting UAT by providing clear requirement context and assisting stakeholders in the testing process.
- Maintain a living repository of project documentation (user stories, requirements traceability matrix, process diagrams, and release notes) ensuring accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ability to create prototypes to validate and align requirements with clients and other stakeholders.
- Leverage AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) to accelerate requirements drafting, summarize stakeholder interviews, generate test cases, and produce first-draft documentation for team review.
- Use AI-assisted analytics and BI tools to identify patterns in business data, surface insights to stakeholders, and support data-driven decision making.
The ideal candidate will have the following experience and qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in software development environments.
- Solid experience working within Agile environments, particularly Scrum and Kanban.
- Hands-on experience with JIRA and Notion for backlog and documentation management.
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills to work effectively across cross-functional teams.

- Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Notion AI, or GitHub Copilot; ability to craft effective prompts to generate structured outputs is desirable.
