- This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an Associate Vice President, Strategic Planning in the United States. This leadership role is responsible for shaping and advancing enterprise-level strategic planning across a large, complex healthcare organization. You will partner closely with senior executives to design integrated business plans, long-term strategic roadmaps, and cross-functional initiatives that directly influence system-wide performance. The role combines high-level strategic thinking with hands-on execution, ensuring alignment between enterprise priorities and operational realities. You will lead the development of planning frameworks, tools, and methodologies that improve consistency, rigor, and decision quality across the organization. Acting as both strategist and enabler, you will coordinate across business units, shared services, and clinical operations to drive execution of key initiatives. This is a highly visible position where your insights and leadership will shape enterprise direction and long-term growth.
- Accountabilities Own and evolve enterprise strategic planning capabilities, including frameworks, tools, and processes that standardize and strengthen planning discipline across the organization. Design and implement structured planning approaches that ensure alignment with enterprise strategy and enable effective decision-making. Lead development of integrated strategic roadmaps across business and functional areas, ensuring sequencing, coherence, and resource alignment. Drive complex, cross-functional strategic and business planning initiatives from scoping through execution, including stakeholder engagement and governance. Partner with insights and economics teams to integrate market intelligence, competitive analysis, and performance data into strategic planning. Facilitate executive engagement forums and cross-functional collaboration to support alignment and coordinated execution. Contribute to leadership initiatives within the strategy function, including team development, coaching, and capability building. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, or related field from an accredited institution. Minimum 10+ years of experience in health systems management, business planning, or strategic planning in complex organizations. Proven experience in cross-functional leadership, enterprise program management, and executive stakeholder engagement. Strong understanding of integrated healthcare systems, industry trends, and strategic planning methodologies. Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in ambiguous and evolving environments. Advanced communication skills, including executive-level writing, presentations, and facilitation. Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to navigate complex organizational structures. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strategic planning tools.
