This senior legal role serves as a key advisor supporting a global corporate real estate portfolio within a complex, enterprise-scale organization. The position is responsible for providing strategic and practical legal counsel across leasing, acquisitions, dispositions, and broader real estate investment activities. It plays a critical role in shaping legal structures that balance risk management with business agility and long-term enterprise growth. The role requires close partnership with internal stakeholders across multiple functions to enable informed decision-making and efficient execution of real estate strategies. It involves high levels of autonomy, ownership, and responsibility for complex legal matters in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will operate as both a trusted advisor and a proactive problem-solver, helping the business navigate regulatory and transactional complexity. This is a high-impact position where legal expertise directly supports operational continuity and strategic expansion.
  • Accountabilities Serve as primary legal advisor for corporate leasing and real estate matters across leased and owned facilities. Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of real estate agreements, including leases, subleases, purchase and sale agreements, estoppels, and SNDA agreements. Advise on leasing strategy, acquisitions, dispositions, and broader real estate investment decisions. Manage landlord-tenant disputes, including drafting demand letters and supporting resolution strategies. Oversee property tax-related legal matters in coordination with local authorities for owned properties. Coordinate and manage external counsel engagement when specialized legal support is required. Provide legal guidance on real estate projects, ensuring compliance, risk mitigation, and alignment with business objectives. Requirements Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Minimum 8+ years of experience in commercial real estate law, leasing, and transactional practice in the private sector. Strong expertise in negotiating and drafting complex real estate agreements and managing legal risk. Demonstrated ability to build trust and credibility with senior business stakeholders. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong negotiation and influencing capabilities. Experience working within complex, matrixed organizations and navigating cross-functional environments. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines. High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to ethical legal practice.
