Job Description

About the role

There's a category that's been doing things the same way for over a hundred years. We're here to change that.

Most ACD’s don't dream about performance marketing. We're looking for the one who does. The one who gets genuinely excited by the question: why did that ad work? This isn't a role for someone who wants to ship beautiful work and move on. It's for the rare AD who has a strong aesthetic point of view, cares deeply about craft, and loves seeing their work tied directly to real results.

This role has one core mandate: raise the visual bar across everything we make. You'll have significant ownership over the look and feel of Ethos across paid social, video, and all marketing touchpoints, and will play a key role in shaping how this brand shows up visually.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Refine and elevate the visual quality of everything we make: paid social static ads, video, website, one-pagers, and all marketing touchpoints
  • Refine our visual system where you see fit, including color palette, typography, photography style, illustration direction, end cards, and bumpers
  • Develop sonic branding that translates consistently across TV, radio, and digital
  • Collaborate closely with the video creative team to ensure visual consistency and quality across all formats
  • Stay deeply in tune with what's working and what isn't across our paid social creative, using performance data to inform visual decisions
  • Champion AI adoption to accelerate concepting, design production, and creative iteration
  • Bring curiosity and ambition to explore new visual territories and push the brand beyond where it's been

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 7+ years in art and creative direction with a strong portfolio spanning performance creative and brand
  • Exceptional visual design sensibility with experience refining or evolving brand identity systems, including color, type, photography, and illustration
  • Experience designing for paid social at scale, you understand how visual decisions affect performance and why
  • Familiarity with video creative, including end cards, bumpers, and motion, is a strong plus
  • Experience developing or contributing to sonic branding is a plus
  • AI-forward, you're already using AI tools in your design workflow and excited to bring that to a team
  • Genuine obsession with design, advertising, and how visual craft moves people to act
