  • Accountabilities: The Account Manager - IOLs will be responsible for growing business opportunities, managing key customer relationships, and ensuring successful adoption of surgical ophthalmology products within the assigned territory. This role requires a strategic approach to sales, strong customer engagement skills, and the ability to provide clinical support and education to healthcare professionals. Achieve or exceed annual revenue and profitability targets through effective territory management and strategic sales planning. Develop and maintain strong relationships with ophthalmic surgeons, hospitals, clinics, and healthcare professionals. Deliver product demonstrations, training sessions, and application support to customers and clinical teams. Promote and sell intraocular lenses (IOLs) and related surgical consumables while identifying new business opportunities. Support physicians and clinical staff with product utilization guidance and IOL calculation recommendations. Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities. Manage account inventory, sales reporting, forecasting, and CRM documentation to support business performance. Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and strategic account plans tailored to customer needs. Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, service, regulatory, and operational stakeholders, to deliver comprehensive customer solutions. Support product launches, market introductions, and strategic initiatives within the territory. Maintain accurate documentation and comply with company policies, quality standards, and applicable regulations. Travel regularly to customer sites, training sessions, and business meetings as required. Requirements: The ideal candidate is a consultative sales professional with experience managing strategic accounts in healthcare, medical technology, or surgical environments. You should combine strong commercial skills with the ability to build trusted relationships, educate customers, and operate independently in a territory-based role. Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field or equivalent professional experience. 2–5 years of experience in strategic account management, medical sales, or related commercial roles. Previous experience in surgical, operating room, or ophthalmology sales is strongly preferred. Knowledge of ophthalmic products, particularly intraocular lenses (IOLs), and their clinical applications is an asset. Proven ability to manage complex customer relationships and influence decision-makers at multiple levels. Strong negotiation, presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to provide consultative guidance and deliver effective product training. Demonstrated track record of sales success and consistent achievement of performance targets. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage projects, and work independently. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners. Fluent in French and proficient in English. Comfortable working in clinical environments and adapting to changing business priorities.
