Job Title: TikTok Shop Specialist

Location: Remote

Employment Type: Full-time

Reports to: Founder/Head of Growth

About the Role

The TikTok Shop Specialist will own the setup, optimization, and growth of our TikTok Shop channel. This role will build our internal “muscle” on TikTok Shop—handling merchandising, operations, and early growth experiments—before we consider any

external agency support.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, launch, and manage our TikTok Shop presence end to end.
  • Own merchandising within TikTok Shop, including product catalog setup, variant rules, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Use tools such as ShopDance (or similar) to manage large catalogs (e.g., reducing 200+ variants to TikTok’s 100‑variant limit per product) and hide/de‑prioritize less popular variants.
  • Coordinate with the web/dev and merchandising teams to ensure product data, pricing, and inventory are accurate.
  • Develop and execute a roadmap to grow TikTok Shop revenue (promotions, bundles, content angles, etc.).
  • Identify, recruit, and manage TikTok affiliates/creators; support them with assets, briefs, and performance feedback.
  • Collaborate with internal content/creative resources (or agencies, if used later) on video and live‑shopping concepts.
  • Track performance, optimize based on data, and report on key KPIs (GMV, conversion rate, AOV, CAC, etc.).

  • 2–4+ years in e‑commerce growth, marketplace operations, or social commerce, with hands‑on TikTok Shop experience strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with tools like ShopDance or similar catalog/variant management platforms (or ability to learn quickly).
  • Demonstrated experience launching or materially growing a TikTok Shop (or comparable social commerce channel).
  • Strong operational/merchandising mindset and comfort with detailed admin work.
  • Ability to collaborate with creators/affiliates and understand what drives performance on TikTok.
  • Data-driven with solid Excel/Sheets skills and comfort working inside dashboards and ad/commerce platforms.
  • Clear, proactive communicator comfortable working with a distributed team.
